Please read this entry with a thought to adding your own observations of how you grew to know your palette is right for you or your discovery of a missed cue versus the feeling of finally being seen. Honoring our Journey: Adventures in Understanding our Palette..... Some of my greatest ahas during the Color Academy with Suzanne was discovering Personality Identification: a way of looking and behaving in the world that the energy of each season reveals. For me, this was an inner explosion of such magnitude that I actually dreamed I was in a major earthquake (the night following my Palette session with her). As the weeks progressed and I learned more and more about the universe of each season, the more excited I became about the power of this work to change and heal lives, especially for women. Now, after 30+ years of working with this process I can say that not everyone is seen for who they are, but when it does hit home (and this can be shocking for those who have lived their whole lives outside their color palette) it often takes one out of their comfort zone in many ways. What I have found is when a person is willing to commit to wearing their palette 24/7 for a good amount of time, either you love all or most of your colors (my hardest adjustment was wearing my eye color) or it may dawn on you finally that it doesnt resonate. My eye color, persian orange, became very significant of my depth of passion in every area of my life and Suzanne was adroit enough to put it on my palette without toning it down! It was scary, but has provided immense satisfaction over the years that I have pursued it at a deeper level. Remember, this was the color I least liked at first! Yet it provided the key to my life purpose! Yes, and please do refer to the personality identification part of Suzannes work...I completely resonate with the Winter symbology and the containment, magnetic qualities, the soloist, performer, designer. Looking serene amidst internal emotional storms or crises, needing to be strong, yet feeling more vulnerable than one shows to the public. Your turn......
