Please read this for a chuckle.... WESTFIELD FASHION IQ: 1. Westfield has launched a new web site 2. But the fashion tools previously available (Style Personality, Body Shape & Cost Per Wear) have disappeared. After alot of difficulty in locating a human being instead of an answering machine..... Emma Reynolds, a senior Fashion Marketing person at HQ explained the disappearance as incompatibility of the old tools with the new platform. SIA: OK - so is someone on the job of making the tools compatible with the new platform? ER: I dont know as I dont work in that development area. But our in centre stylist will help you with that. SIA feels like she is pulling teeth. Given ER is in fashion marketing, I realise she isnt in IT development. SIA: Is the intention that the tool isnt available to the public because it will be a proprietary tool only for the stylists who provide the service to customers 1:1? ER: We always support our customers and our stylists. SIA: Is there an intention to put the tools back up on the site? ER: We cant put the old tools up because they are not compatible with the new site. SIA [pulling hair out at this stage]: Yes, I understood that. I dont care if the boxes are pink or yellow, whether they are on the top right or top left corner of the page or whether you have Nicole Warnes face (or the Lowy brothers) popping up all over the calculators. It doesnt have to be the identical tool. I am just asking whether the intention is to put something with a similar functionality on the new site. ER: We will put up fashion tools at some stage. SIA would have preferred a simple & sweet The decisions havent been made yet. Even if they have been made. It was the constant slippery avoiding the question is what SIA finds very difficult to stomach - perhaps that is why they dont return calls & on the new site, there are no phone numbers - just emails addresses. gggrrrr.....
