Please read this plea for a dying feral colony caretaker. Colony is near Worlds of Fun. I have contact info so let me know if you want that. Hope these cats can find help. My Mother in Law has stage 4 Cancer of the liver and Colorectal cancer as well. She recently started Chemo after trying to rid the cancer herself holistically. With her chemo, she continues to weaken. She has taken care of a Feral community of cats for over 30 years as well as domesticated cats in the home. We understand that these cats would likely go away if she stopped feeding them, however in the town she lives in they have plowed down most of the wooded area and have made it a rock quary and the other side is the highway so there is no where for these cats to go. Currently she has counted 31 in the colony with most already being spayed or neutered (she thinks that around 7 arent) That will be 4 kittens born in May and 2 Female and one Male that arent spayed and neutered. She has always had permission from her community to take care of these cats. She also has 5 domesticated house cats that she can no longer car for. My Mother in Law has a huge heart for these cats but realizes she can no longer care for them which is very, very difficult for her to admit. It is basically her dying wish for these cats to live and be cared for as she has done for them. Its not an option for these to go to a kill shelter as she would rather die herself than do that, I believe she currently has at least 2 traps. Please let me know of any help you can provide. Anything is much appreciated. This way we can concentrate on her treatment and last few years of life. Attaching pictures of the 5 cats in her home. Thank You. ALL MALE, 1)Gray and White pic taken inside (Fuzzmo is around 10 yrs), 2)Short Gray outside with woman in the picture (Fatboy is around 4 and timid but friendly), 3)Long Gray outside by the car (Smokie Joe is about 7 and was a rescue because he was caged and is friendly but will bite while petting him at times), 4)Long Black inside in front of the window on green table cloth (Porkchop is around 4 years old and does not play well with other cats), 5)Orange and White inside by the outlet (Morris about 7? Loves people and is a great lap cat and gives hugs).
