Please read this post! As you all know we are participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. We are trying to raise money for this great charity. Most of us know a person who has had or died from this terrible disease but if you havent you do now. I am participating because as a child I was diagnosed with cancer. Back in the 60s medicine was not what it is today but I am here today making wine despite having a kidney, 3 ribs and my appendix removed and dealing with chemo and radiation treatments for a long time. With cancer in my rearview mirror for most of my life I unfortunately lost my best friend and hero my father to cancer, not too long ago, before he ever got to see our beautiful new winery my family has created.
