Please read with a heart to hear both sides. The battle for farming has gone on for many years. As i read words from the todays farmer magazine...my heart goes out to the future of farming. I believe that with large corporate farm sponsors our smsll family farmer.....will no longer be. I remember as a little girl and in driving across Kansas you could read a sign that said 1 kansas farmer feeds you and 35 people. Today it says 1Kansas farmer feeds you and 175 people. Those farms that grew and provided food for small number...they were small family farms and we were proud to be a part of that number. When the number begsn increasing it wasnt because that little family farm increased production...it was becsuse corporate farming took those small farms and began high yield methods of farming which increased the environmental regulations that now the corporate farmer feels constraint with. FARMING IS FIGHTING FARMING PEOPLE....When corporate farms become UN regulated farms...someone is going to ask how did this happen? If you think down the rosd aways. Abd look back from where we have come...you will have your answer.
