Please rp anon? Not looking for a debate but happy to pm if anyone can help. Were being served notice on our flat and cant afford a deposit and have no one to borrow from. The council can help by guaranteeing a deposit with a landlord (NOT handing over a cash deposit) whereby they say they will pay for any damage and get it back off the tenant. We qualify based on our circumstances. Weve been warned its hard to find a half decent property this way though and that its hard to find a landlord who will accept it. So worried we will end up in a complete dive. Has anyone got experience of this? Thankyou.
