Please say a prayer for my family tonight. I found out today that my adoptive mom (I called her Aunt Shirley) passed away in her sleep sometime this morning. I was adopted into the family at 8 years old when my parents passed away...they were so kind to take on another child after their own kids were grown. She had been suffering from Alzheimers so I know it gives everyone peace knowing shes in a much better place tonight & wont ever suffer again. She always said she never wanted to end up in a nursing home & prayed she would go peacefully in her sleep. God granted the desires of her heart. Pray for her husband, son, daughter & grandsons...she loved them so very much! She was a great mom to me too...especially a few years ago when I went through one of the toughest times in my life. Im thankful for the long conversations we were able to have back then. See you again someday soon, Aunt Shirley!
