It was great sharing so many great experiences, traveling abroad with you for comps, and seeing you grow from strength to strength. Grant hit the big 40 a while ago and thats no excuse for him to stop competing. Whilst with us, He has been to the World Championships twice, several state championships and of course the Pan Pacs nearly every year. Well done mate and enjoy Sydney. Cheers Rob Message from Grant: After three years in Cairns my partner Tori and I have decided to have a change from Cairns and move back to Sydney where we are originally from. A very tough decision because we like Cairns so much. I will really miss everyone that I train with. I have made valued and strong friendships. I feel I have ridden a very positive wave over the last few years and seen some great changes take place. I’ve been privileged to have met people who train hard and show a passion for the sport as well as being good friends. I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to compete locally, nationally and internationally over this time and always felt very supported by the senior club members. A special thank you to Rob, Viv, Ryan and Pete as the instructing team who have made the experience so enjoyable. Rob has lifted the club to a new level over this time and helped produce some very capable and technical fighters. I have also seen Rob reach many personal mile stones himself including being there when he was awarded his Black Belt. It is likely that we will come back to Cairns down the track as we have a home here but it won’t be for a couple of years. I will miss you all and I wish you every success in the future Kind Regards Grant
