Please share! Danny is searching for his Forever Family Danny is a very smart nine year old boy who adapts easily in new situations. He was born with cleft lip and palate, differences in his right arm, and vision impairment in one eye, but this cheerful and vibrant boy is learning how to overcome any challenge! In August 2013, Danny was moved from a state orphanage to a School for the Blind, in the private Bethel China program (thebethelfoundation.org), in order to get a better education. He lived with other children in an apartment near the school. A helpful boy, he liked to assist his foster mom with chores, such as cleaning the table, sweeping the floor, and trimming vegetables, and he helped other children when they need it. In November 2014, the Leap Foundation (leap-foundation.org) arranged for Danny to come to the Dallas/Fort Worth area for a series of life–transforming surgeries, the first of which repaired his cleft lip and the second was to repair his palette. Danny is staying in a host family and is doing fabulous. His host family is eager to share Danny’s many wonderful qualities with potential adoptive families. He does well with the younger and older siblings in the home. Danny is respectful and follows the directions of his host mother. He thrives with structure and is attending the local public school in the ESL program. The school and teachers love his attitude. He has been receiving speech therapy and will need to continue this. Interested families have the opportunity to meet Danny while he is here for his medical hosting. Danny has $14,000 in grants available for his adoption ($10,000 from a private donor and $4,000 from Reece’s Rainbow (reecesrainbow.org). Potential adoptive parents would need to meet all of the requirements of the China Special Needs Adoptions program. Danny will need to return to China before the adoption is completed. Contact his medical host mother Brittan Rojas for more information on this precious boy (brittanrojas@gmail).
