Please share ! From American Legion Riders Post 210 Celina I would like to address a recent issue that occurred at the Celina WalMart involving a young Marine in uniform visiting WalMart. There has been some controversy on events that occurred that day between the Marine and management. I am the Director of the Legion Riders and First Vice Commander at American Legion Post 210, and I personally talked with one of Assistant managers at WalMart who happened to be the one that spoke with the Marine. At no time was the Marine asked to leave the property the management did follow up on a customer complaint that the Marine had approached a customer. According to the manager WalMart has a no solicitation policy within the store. The Marine was advised he was more than welcome to set up a time where he could put up a display outside the entrance just like all of the other groups you see there. Our stance is that we support WalMart;s decision in this matter and did not see any thing wrong with their actions or policy. We are proud veterans and support our past and current troops 100%, however this is something that should never have been an issue and now I have heard that someone has posted on Facebook trying to organize a protest. Please ignore these requests and use some common sense. With all of the protesting and rioting going on in the world I would hope that the citizens of Celina would be smart enough to obtain the facts before making hasty decisions. Thank You, John Barker
