Please share and help if you can. Via Mrs. Boran I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Sheppard family who are in need of community support. This is a family in our community who live on Yoon Court. They have been our attached neighbours since we moved into our house in March 2010 and they have become our family and for others friends. Vince Sheppard was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer on May 30th, 2013. The doctors had determined that the cancer had also spread to his liver, a heart breaking diagnosis. Approximately a month after the diagnosis, Vince’s colon ruptured and he had to undergo an emergency lifesaving operation on July 26, 2013, and from there the battle had begun. Vince is a dedicated, loving husband and father of 2 beautiful girls (ages 1 & 3), and is also one of the kindest, most thoughtful people you could ever meet. Vince’s wife, Gail has just recently returned to work from maternity leave and the financial burden weighing on them should not be an additional worry during this difficult time Friends and family of the Sheppard family are planning a benefit and auction for the evening of October 12 at 7 PM at Brewsters Bar and Grill in Bedford (961 Bedford Highway). There will be a motorcycle poker run during the day, with the final stop being Brewsters. We are in the process of gathering items for the auction. Any donations for the auction would be greatly appreciated and we would be happy to pick up your donation from your business at your convenience. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
