Please share...before the inbox gets flooded, we are planning to be in school on Friday, January 9th. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions, but I thought it was best to get that out there today before everyone starts talking. I also want to acknowledge the many kind comments people have made. You know we will do anything to keep your kids warm and safe! Having said that, we absolutely believe it is the responsibility of parents to bundle your kids up properly and keep them out of the cold. The only time we have the kids in the cold is from the bus to the door, which is a few seconds. How kids are dressed and standing at bus stops is ultimately a parent decision, and I think that sometimes gets lost in the will we have school tomorrow discussion. Its my job to decide if we are having school. Its your job to see that your child stays warm when they are not at school or waiting for a ride. I promise you they will be safe and warm at school and on the bus. Hopefully, this makes perfect sense, but I wanted to share these thoughts with all of you. Oh, and we will have outdoor recess tomorrow! Haha! Juuuust kidding! :) Stay warm, drive carefully and we look forward to seeing your kids again tomorrow! Mark R. Cross, Superintendent
