Please share sweet handsome CHESTER! Love that face! He is very friendly. he will sniff, and lick everyone he sees and he will at times try to jump up on a person so he can be petted This is how chester is describe by the people who found this stray wandering around. Please share and advocate for him before it is to late--Noon Tomorrow... A volunteer writes: Bright eyes? check. Handsome face? check. Wagging tail? check. Good leash manners? check. Affectionate? check. This handsome fellow has an impressive list of attributes which also include that hes likely housetrained going as soon as we were out the door, can shake paw, sits when asked to, takes treats gently, gives kisses and is sweet and gentle. He didnt mind being tethered for photos, posing nicely for the camera, and even when off leash knew just what to do. He loves chasing a tennis ball, bringing it back for another throw. When I sat down to take some notes, he put his front paws in my lap for some petting, happily reaching up to give me some kisses. (Hes a good kisser too!). When other dogs approached he wagged his tail in easy greeting. A meet and greet with a resident dog is recommended, as Chester may have preferences in his canine friends. At an estimated age of 3 years young, hes over the puppy crazies but still likes to have a good time in an easy going relaxed way. Chester is looking to start his happily ever after with you today. A volunteer writes: Chester is a wisp of a dog, a fine fellow with a wounded heart. Having lost his family, hes a bit overwhelmed at the shelter, surrounded by unfamiliar smells and loud noises. But Chester is quick to recognize a friend, sniffing carefully at a hand offered in friendship, and almost taking a treat, politely declining at the last moment. Other dogs seem to be a source of comfort to Chester, as he sits quietly to watch them at play. While Chesters past is a mystery, his fine grooming and housekeeping suggest that he was someones cherish pet. What Chester needs now is a new home with a family who will provide him with the security and love he needs. Wont you be Chesters hero?
