Please share this. A lot of little boys need guidance, mentoring, and positive role modeling. If you have a heart for today’s youth, and wish to mentor; here is a wonderful opportunity! Maybe you can help?! Maybe you know someone who could? The Bremen Cub Scout Pack (leading Bremen boys in grades 1-5) is appealing to the community for help! Many of Bremen’s recent core Cub Scout leaders have moved on to leadership roles in the Boy Scout troop with their sons; or have shifted their involvement to other community or personal commitments – leaving many service & leadership roles unfilled. One such opening is the lead position, Cubmaster. Scouting recently celebrated 103 years of training young men in America. The Boy Scouts of America organization is designed to teach young men in our community six essential needs: duty to God, serving others, lifelong learning, building character, healthy living, & mentoring. Ask most any boy or man who has been a Cub Scout or Boy Scout; they will undoubtedly confirm that these educational activities and life-lessons were loaded with fun! The young boys & men of our community need Scouting as much as ever. Scouting can only continue in our community with leadership. Without a Cubmaster and other critical roles being filled; boys will be disappointed to learn these opportunities will not be available to them. Please help! If you have a heart for today’s youth, and wish to mentor; here is a wonderful opportunity! If you have ever, past or present, had a son in Scouting and recognize the value it had in his life – consider offering another child that same gift. If you were once a Scout and have an appreciation for how it shaped you; out of gratitude give to others what was given to you. Open to the community-at-large, (including any parents of current Cub Scouts), there will be a public meeting for information and to take applications for leadership positions in Bremen’s Cub Scout Pack on Sunday, August 11, 4pm at the Bremen United Methodist North Campus Building at 323 N. Montgomery Street). If you would like to learn more about the Cub Scout Pack in Bremen, please contact me for more information or visit the website. You can link there from the Bremen Cub-Scouts facebook page.
