Please share this. On Wednesday, 5/21/2014, I attended and spoke at an event at the St. Petersburg VA. They were honoring and remembering the Iraq and Afghanistan war heroes from Florida who paid the ultimate price in a far away land. My nephew, Specialist 4th class Michael S. Deem, was among those so honored. It was a very emotional experience as I listened to other family members who had lost their loved ones in Iraq or Afghanistan. They still grieve, as our family does, as if they had just received the news of their loss yesterday. Please say a prayer for all of the families who have had to bury their soldier, sailor, airman, or marine. It never gets easier to accept and the pain never goes away. God bless all of them.
