Please share this girl for a home! Maxine probably has the least chance of any dog in the entire Brooklyn shelter of living through the day tomorrow. Maxine herself is very frightened and she isn’t helping herself by endearing herself to the staff. Maxine is about 4-years old, a Mastiff mix of about 80-pounds. Regardless, Maxine has probably not enjoyed a quality diet as judging from her leaky eyes and dull coat. Maxine is no fool so she bares her teeth when staff members try to minister to her. Maxine clearly needs the closest thing to an angel that New Yorkers can provide. She’s scheduled to die tomorrow and she’ll surely be restrained for the process. Let’s give Maxine a new leash on life.
