Please share this post! Very sad update on Pop Pop and Princess. The two best friends brought to the SPCA because their owner went into a nursing home. Please read the following update from the Montgomery County SPCA that was posted on our previous post. It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of Pop Pop. This little guy came to us very ill, underweight, and with a chronic cough. An ultrasound revealed a large mass in his abdomen. He was immediately scheduled for surgery yesterday and it was soon discovered that the mass was a cancerous prostate tumor. The cancer had spread to his liver, spleen and lungs. Despite our best efforts to save this him, there was nothing more we could do to help him. Our veterinarians made the difficult decision to end his suffering and he was humanely euthanized. Princess is still looking for a home, but she too has some health issues. She is at least 12-13 years old. She has a grade 2/3 heart murmur, severe periodontal disease, and cataracts. She has good weight, eats well and is very sweet. She is looking for a family that is able to take on the additional expense of owning and caring for a senior pet. Please consider opening your heart and your home to this senior girl in need. Princess has lost her owner and now her best friend Pop Pop. She needs a home . She deserves to be taken care of and loved in her golden years. Please if you can help her contact the Perkiomenville SPCA . Lets do this!
