Please share with anyone who you may know instrested in the down payment assistance program through the state of illinois and have them contact me for a Pre-Approval: To date, more than 10,000 first-time buyers have reserved over $1.0 billion in financing under Welcome Home Illinois and funds are nearly exhausted. As such, the Illinois Housing Development Authority will close the program on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at midnight CST. All loans must be fully reserved in the system prior to Program end date; no exceptions. Our projections indicate that we will be able to honor all reservations made until that deadline, but if reservations significantly increase in the coming days, we reserve the right to close the program sooner. As a reminder, it is IHDA policy that once financing is reserved, the address cannot be changed.
