Please sign this petition in honor of my daugther, Rachel Wilson. Due to Cushings Disease and the resulting two (2) pitutary surgeries, she is now adrenal insufficient. We have been through 3 (maybe 4) adrenal crisis situations. As her mother and being one that has had to fight ER admitting staff, ER doctors, etc in order to get the them to give her the necessary medication (glucocorticoid (steriod)) in order to stop the crisis, I can attest 1st hand as to how necessary this policy is. To be sitting in a very well known, large emergency room in Nashville, TN for hours upon hours as you watch your child get weaker and weaker, knowing that if she isnt given the medicine soon, something terribile will result is something no mother or other family member should have to endure. Her brother, Kyle Wilson, witnessed this himself as he sat with his sissy at this large ER for right at 5 hours before they have her medical attention. With Kyle being an EMT and knowing the signs to watch for when someone is declining and for him to have to call me and tell me he didnt know if his sister was going to make it is something brubber should have to witness. Please, please sign this Petition and share will all your friends. We need theses bew emergency policies.
