Please someone explain to me the logic and thinking behind the following statement: A council has rejected planning permission for 970 homes and a school to be built on the outskirts of a Lincolnshire market town. East Lindsey Council Lincilnshire rejected the 150-acre site on the edge of Louth because it said the scheme was too large to be sustainable for the town. The authority has a 30 per cent requirement for affordable housing, therefore the development would have contained around 291 affordable units. The plans, if they had passed, would have increased the housing stock of the town by 12 per cent
