I have been employed by Komen Colorado for 7 years and couldnt be more proud of the great work we are doing in support of uninsured and under-insured people in our community, not to mention the medical advancements that have been made possible because of Komen funding. The survival rate for this dreaded disease is now over 95% thanks largely to Komens efforts. I am raising funds this year in memory of the beautiful women Ive known who lost their battle - Pam Clark, Nichole Davis, and Amy Bixby - and in honor of the beautiful women I know who have survived the ordeal - Carrie Gundersen, Janet Clark, Pat Reed, Diane Arave, Cindy Cranstone, Pat Ludwig, and June Wagner, to name a few.
