I am looking at establishing an agency/initiative (Amathole Arts Agency- Initiative (AAA-I) , Non-profit Organisation. Initially in the Eastern Cape (Border / Amathole Region of South Africa) focusing on promoting the Performing (and visual and other classic) Arts. Especially Opera, Serious (classical music: vocal, instrumental, soloist, ensembles, etc). Dance (Ballet, contemporary, indiginous and all other forms). Visual Arts in all aspects. Quality entertainment performances/productions, gatherings, exhibitions and presentations. Also aiming to provide marketing and publicity services, through local networking, to all related activities in the region. It is my aim to revitalise the forgotten music societies of a bygone era which existed in every platteland dorp in the country. And afforded performance opportunities to international and local performing artists in almost every genre. And provided support to these appearances/performances through their loyal patron base. I have dedicated my life to the Performing Arts. From school days, through my career and beyond. As a student, performer, arts administrator, activist and just general member of the audience!!!
