Please take a minute to reflect on and answer the following question: What is the meaning of my life? The word Meaning to me has another conotation: PURPOSE What sets the agenda for our purpose? Thoughts, words we speak, opinions, advise, and relationships are some of the ingredients that either interfere with or determine our path... Think about it...we live in a FALLEN world - Really? - YES! just compare a TV program from the 70s to one of todays favorite shows...not only that but there is also so much noice in our minds where 1000s of voices are competing to get our attention at the same time, and THE SAD PART IS THAT WE ARE NOT AWARE THAT THESE VOICES INTERPRET LIFE FOR US, AND EACH VOICE IS TRYING TO DOMINATE AND DICTATE TO OUR HEARTS. And this is what I call the formula for destruction...to doom and gloom...the formula that drains all energy and that clouds our understanding. No wonder the Apostle Paul wrote the following in the book of Romans: Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Neuroscience describes this type of internal warfare as one that is birthed by our lack of control, and surrender of our will to the LIMBIC SYSTEM. This part of the brain is the part that is responsible for so much destruction, injustice, and blindness for it holds the prefrontal cortex (the executive brain where empathy, reasoning, and logic reside) in complete bondage. The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans 2000 years ago, and he spoke about it then...and the Neuroscience comunity is just begining to understand this concept...exept that they (Neuroscientists) are leaving out the most important factor: SPIRITUAL WARFARE... Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. When evil controls the mind - its fruits are evident... When GOOD controls the mind...well...you know the results... think about it! Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
