Please take shelter in your relationship with the Lord. Everything else is temporary. When there is this existential desperation which breaks through all our veiling attempts, desperation gives us a gift. Turn to the one and only relationship which can shelter you and all others like no other shelter. Become conscious of the Lord who has been so good to you and has given you so many gifts which are still unopened. As you turn away from the false promises of the world, they will automatically fall on those gifts which are still wrapped. Then you will be curious what is inside and open them. This happens when you finally manage to escape the noise of the world and sit down before the Lord and sincerely call out his name. At that time when you move into your heart, address the Lord sincerely, he will all of a sudden be so close and you will wonder how you could ever forget him. (from a letter)
