Please tell me more about jihad as an ideology and as it applies in modern, mainstream Islam. I wasnt going to ask this, was afraid its too controversial, but I hope everyone here knows me well enough to know I have good motives when I ask these questions. I really try hard to defend mainstream Islam in my community and usually do a pretty good job thanks to what I learn from this group, such as the answers to my question yesterday :) .
