Please tell me who has been suffering from that religious bias Ameer Alibaksh????? Let me explain something to you! The government places kids, who ranked accordingly, at Hillview FIRST before we take in our twenty percent. And while some of the children we do take in on said 20% are Presbyterians some are from other religions as well. Any staff member, regardless of their religion, can request a space for his/her son on that list! It has happened before. How many teachers sons were able to come in and experience what it means to be a Hillview boy because of it?! There are a variety of kids from all different races, cultures and religious backgrounds going to that school and we as teachers teach them ALL!!!!! WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE... Our classes may be bigger but we aim to bring out the best in our students... Religious bias? I fail to see where. We do not disallow our Muslim students from parting on a lunch time. We do not tell our Hindu students to stop fasting, we do not deny them a Divali program. As a matter of fact, they quite look forward to their Indian treats on that day and the roti from box lunch! How many students of different races have attained scholarship? I am not trying to say that Hillview is perfect. We will always have people who are a bit biased.. But do not judge that institution based on the shortcomings of a few!!!!
