Please understand that if you sit and watch a baseball game with me (either on television or at the ballpark) Im going analyze and comment on fifty aspects of the game that youre probably not interested in..... I start by looking at the field conditions, artificial or natural grass, the mow patterns, the infield mix, the straightness of the lines, and, of course, any logos painted on the field. Then I look at every single piece of equipment being used and determine the make, model, condition, cost, and quality of it -- each piece of catcher equipment, every glove and mitt, the bats, the baseballs, and the batting helmets. Finally, I listen to the public address announcer and every word that comes out of their mouth and will either give them a thumbs up or thumbs down. (I rarely ever comment on or take note of the umpires or the uniforms -- theyre not my department.) In between all of that I do actually watch the plays, cheer for my favorite team if I have one, and afterwards can usually tell you who won the game, but generally dont remember the score or the specific stats. If any of that bothers you, sorry -- next time youll have to find someone different to take out to the ol ball game...... :)
