Please welcome Mr. Dennis Tamblyn as Pusch Ridge Christian Academys new theater arts teacher! Mr. Tamblyn is from Scottsdale, Arizona where he was always involved in theater and music. Oddly enough, he actually received a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophyics from the U of A before God changed his career path to one of theater and music. He then pursued a 2nd degree, earning a B.M. in Voice Performance with a minor in theater. Dennis then moved to Colorado to pursue a Masters in Music and Theater where he directed several opera and scenes programs at the University of Northern Colorado, before returning to Tucson to pursue a DMA in Voice Performance and a minor in Theater Arts. He feels very blessed with the performance opportunities God has presented to him, performing with major opera and theater countries across the US and in Europe. Recently he portrayed Pirelli in Arizona OnStages production of Sweeney Todd, Alfie in Studio Connections production of A Man of No Importance and will be performing the role of Thenardiér in Arizona OnStages production of Les Miserablés this August. Mr. Tamblyn is very excited to be joining the PRCA family and feels privileged to glorify God through theater. He believes in giving students a positive and nurturing environment to express their gifts and conquer the unique challenges that performance allows. Dennis recently discussed his background, experiences and recent appointment to PRCA in an interview published in Broadway World, a national theater publication.
