Pluto update for all of you asking :) This is the lovely boy yesterday at the vets in Athens on a soft comfy bed and looking more relaxed. His heart scan was clear which is great news but his leishmania levels are very high. He will need a course of injections lasting a month which means he will be staying at the clinic for the foreseeable future. The hope is that the injections will help him to gain weight and give him more movement but there are no guarantees. Hes on IV still and eating well, being turned four hourly with new bedding/pillows and being looked after so well by the superb staff there. The biggest worry is the paralysis although X-rays showed no obvious damage and nothing broken so its taking it one day at a time right now. We have asked for an estimate on the costs but as you can imagine a month long stay at a specialist centre will not be cheap. As soon as we have an idea of the price we will update you all.
