Poaching of waterfowl is common throughout Assam, particularly in this season and migratory birds are killed in large numbers. Here I share an account sent by a friend, from the scenic Dhakapara lake, Dhubri. : Hello Friends I am Rubul Deka, I am here in Dhubri from few month, I love to spend weekend with birds(photography) so, yesterday I went to place namely Dhaka Para near Dhubri town. One local friend of mine said to me that there i can get Bali duck (Local name), so in the morning I packed all my camera gear and Book and went with him to Dhaka Para. A very beautiful place for birds, one old man we found he asked me why you are here my friend told him to photo shot bird, then he reply which gun u you are going to use I have never seen such a Big gun ( My SLR Camera) after this conversation we Laugh and walk to Dhaka bill. There I found people are killing birds with air gun, and catching using some net. I am shocked for first time. But my friend handles him very well. Can anyone help me to save these birds?
