Poem and Prayer of Wisdom By - Bridget Nicole Loper How is God’s wisdom not beauty unto the wise? Wherein His servants are glorified. If one speaks it shall he not be clothed in it? In vanity it shall appear to all who see. Let not beauty but wisdom be clothed on me in the eyes of men or through mine own eye. God sees as well as he chooses men. Tell Him how to look. I will look abased upon all that hear and an abomination unto the Lord who sees in secret, if I glory in His majesty separate from His will. God will reject me for this. How in shall I avoid this and be clothed in darkness, yet the light of the Word shines through His servants. How may one see the light without darkness? How can one glory in the Lord’s presence and not appear as folly to those who see it? How can the Lord be seen as folly in those that glorify Him? For the Lord is not covered and I shall not hope in nakedness. The veil hath been lifted to those that know the Lord, but I am a wall for those that seek the Lord; a curtain for a window, and no room for a door. The Lord is open for all who seek but I am closed to those who find me. Wherein shall I teach and speak of the Lord? The Lord answers Himself. If I do not surmise to His voice how shalt I be ashamed? The Lord will answer me mightily and in that day I shall be afraid, and I will seek for righteousness but it won’t be found. The Lord our God is righteous how shalt I compare? In the day of death I shall be spared. In the day of judgment shall I be dealt with. In God’s judgment shall I listen but to men’s and women’s shall I be in despair. My own judgment shall come as naught in the day of questioning. Give me an answer so I may answer those that come against me. How shall I answer for the Lord? The Lord will answer for me, then shall I speak. If the Lord is silent I will be grieve and shall shut my speech up. Lord, I need not know more than what you have given for in all is wisdom that is your Word. Let me not question with my own or answer with speech of my own accord.
