Poetic Justification As a petal falls and oneness deepens So is a man, poised in his thoughts To catch a phrase Passed from the flower of his dreams There is a lot to be said for dreams. Many lines in poetry have formed, bringing new life onto the pages of our existence. Lives have forever been changed as dreams find their mark. It is as though rebirth has taken place, like unto a Spiritual awakening. Suddenly our smallest achievements are greater within the Lord. Through the written Word, we have gained knowledge of a great hope for our future and our eternity. We have set free our purest thoughts to become as a flowing river, bringing our own dreams to light, the light of Salvation. One simple poem or line of prose can link people together for a life time, but the deeper meanings of life are discovered while in our quiet place. Listening to the Word, as each line begins to speak life, it will be as if the Soul has found the Master. One who is totally alone, in his deepest thought, will see and understand things that would normally slip through his grasp. These Words given to us in an instant, are captured in the mind, written on the pages of life and saved forever. Only then, we as writters, dreamers, and thinkers are at peace. This is who we are, painted as in a self portrait, when a vision suddenly comes to life in a dream. It is our closest connection to the Holy Spirit, our being alone with God, our time to sit with the Father dreaming ourselves into eternity. When Spirits collide, we understand our purpose as the world disappears into its own darkness. It is our spiritual nature that sees for us, catching these passing petals, these words of life. We must capture these phrases before they fall, for they will never return to us the same. We must allow ourselves to hear the faintest whisper, the whisper of God, quietly calling us home. It may be hard to understand at first, but we will always be more spirit than flesh. As we gain wisdom we learn: We do not have a soul. We are a soul, We have a body. As a true Christian, we are Christ like, or we are not. August 13, 2011 Bob Perdue
