He blends art forms to build a varied body of work in which individual components contribute to a greater whole. Born in Russia, A. Molotkov moved to the US in 1990 and switched to writing in English in 1993. His work has been published in or accepted by The Kenyon Review, Word Riot, Hawaii Review, and over 70 other publications. He is the winner of the New Millennium Writings and E. M. Koeppel fiction awards, as well as Boone’s Dock Press poetry chapbook contest for his True Stories from the Future. Molotkov’s work was used in several public construction projects and has received two Pushcart nominations. He runs the Moonlit Poetry Caravan critique group and serves on the Board of Directors of Oregon Poetry Association, and as co-editor of The Inflectionist Review. Molotkov’s new translation of an Anton Chekhov short story was included by Knopf/Random House in their Everyman Series edition of fishing stories.
