Poetry for Peace has almost quadrupled in membership in only 4 weeks. Most of the nations listed have more than one writer in Poetry for Peace, and some nations have as many as 10 or more writers (India, Nigeria, Tunisia, U.S.) . We have writers from a variety of backgrounds who have a variety of careers. Regardless of age, career, or nation, the message is United: Weve had enough senseless killing and wars. For centuries, there has been a non-stop cycle of placing the blame and retaliation, placing the blame and retaliation. It is time to break the cycle, and start sending a message of Weve had enough!, from people of all nations. Participation from people around the world is key for advancing the cause, showing victims and governments that we are united in our stand against, and demand against more senseless killing. . Please continue to be careful not to place the blame on one nation vs another, one religion vs another, etc., as that will only create division where we seek unity. The perspective of each writer is unique and interesting and a valuable contribution to Poetry for Peace, which is why I ask that writers limit their contributions to not more than one per day, so we have time to read, enjoy, and discuss with each writer.
