#Police - Stainton Way Spill Police have been notified of a chemical spillage on Stainton Way (at midday today, Tuesday 16th July.) Several road closures including the road between Hemlington and Stainton Village have been put into place. Other local roads such as Aviemore Road and Low Lane onto Stainton Way have also been closed and a 200metre cordon is in place however at this stage no residents have been evacuated. Police and Fire Brigade are on scene managing the situation and there are no reports of any injuries or ill effects to anyone at this stage. Local residents are being advised to stay indoors and follow any updates via local radio and social media, including the Cleveland Police Facebook page and Twitter feed.
