Police Blotter 3-19-2014 Cpl. Christopher Wilcox Public Information Officer Temple Police Department The following are offense reports generated by the Temple Police Department for Wednesday 3-19-2014. The Temple Police Department also allows citizens to make certain offense reports on line via the City of Temple Website at templetx.gov/reportacrime. 12:23 AM: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of E. Avenue J. A passenger of the vehicle was identified and found to have an active arrest warrant from the Bell County Sheriff’s Department. Evelyn Crumb, a 40 year old Temple woman, was taken into custody for the warrant. Officer found drug paraphernalia in the suspects possession after her arrest. 8:14 AM: Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Midway Drive. The driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle with an invalid license. Jessie Gutierrez, a 32 year old Belton man, was taken into custody for the offense. 8:55 AM: Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Avenue M. The driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle with an invalid license. At the time of the offense the suspect was unable to provide officers with proof of liability insurance. Investigation is ongoing 9:00 AM: Officer investigating a fire complaint in the area of S. 37th Street and W. Avenue M found one suspect with active arrest warrants from the City of Temple. David Townsend, a 50 year old Temple man, was taken into custody without incident. 10:25 AM: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of E. Adams Avenue. Investigation revealed that a verbal altercation had occurred between family / household members which resulted in the police response. Information report on file 10:30 AM: Officers responded to a trespassing complaint in the 1600 block of S. 9th Street. Complainant reported that a known suspect had entered the victim’s residence after previously being told that their presence on the property was forbidden. Investigation initiated 10:30 AM: Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 23500 block of S.W. HK Dodgen Loop. The driver reported that he did not have any form of identification in his possession. The suspect provided false or fictitious identifying information to the officer. The driver was subsequently found to be operating the motor vehicle with an invalid license, and at the time of this offense the suspect had previously been convicted for driving while license invalid. Damon Lowe, a 39 year old Temple man, was taken into custody for DWLI and False Identification. Upon arrest officers discovered the suspect was also in possession of an amount of marijuana. 11:19 AM: Officers conducting follow up investigation into a criminal trespass complaint filed at 10:30 AM found the suspect at a residence in the 1300 block of S. 3rd Street. David Whiteside, a 54 year old Temple man, was located and officers discovered outstanding arrest warrants from the City of Temple for the suspect. Officers arrested Whiteside for the warrants and the criminal trespass offense. 12:20 PM: Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of S. 1st Street. The driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle with an invalid license, and at the time of this offense the suspect could not provide valid proof of insurance for the vehicle. Matthew Bulls, a 19 year old Temple man, was taken into custody without incident. 1:15 PM: Officer responded to a complaint of a theft from “Dillard’s”, 3111 S. 31st Street. Complainant reported that two (2) suspects had entered the store, concealed merchandise valued at more than $50.00, and left without rendering proper payment. Officers located two juvenile suspects that attempted to flee from the officers, but were subsequently apprehended. 1:15 PM: Officers were dispatched to a criminal trespass complaint in the 1400 block of Canyon Creek Drive. Officers located a suspect on the property that had previously been warned that their presence on the property was forbidden. Edward Fillmore, a 28 year old Temple man, was taken into custody without incident. 2:29 PM: Complainant in the 1500 block of S. 1st Street turned in a found wallet. Item secured in evidence and an information report generated. 2:48 PM: Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of S. 1st Street. The driver of the vehicle was found to be operating the car with an invalid driver’s license and at the time of this offense the suspect had previously been convicted of driving while license invalid. Investigation is ongoing 3:11 PM: Officers dispatched to a warrant service in the 200 block of W. Avenue G. Maria Vasquez, a 28 year old Temple woman, was taken into custody for an active arrest warrant from the Bell County Sheriff’s Department. 3:34 PM: Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of N. 3rd Street and W. French Avenue. The driver was found to have active arrest warrants from the City of Temple. Larry Lewis, a 30 year old Temple man, was taken into custody for the warrants. Subsequent to the arrest officers found the suspect was in possession of an illegal knife. 4:27 PM: Officers responded to a theft report at “Dillard’s”, 3111 S. 31st Street. Loss Prevention reported that three (3) suspects had entered the store, concealed merchandise valued at more than $50.00, and exited the retail store without rendering proper payment for the concealed items. Officer located and arrested the following three (3) subjects. Ricarda Medina, 33 years old from Bryan, Georgia Medina, 29 years old from Bryan woman, and Antonia Galvan, a 41 years old Bryan woman. 5:45 PM: Complainant in the 800 block of Concord reported while walking in the 2700 block of Salisbury Drive, the complainant’s dog was attacked by an unrestrained dog. Officer observed injuries to the complainant’s dog, and filed the information report for reference. 7:00 PM: Complainant in the 8200 block of W. Adams Avenue reported that an unknown suspect had taken property belonging to the victim without the owner’s knowledge or consent. Investigation is ongoing ####
