Police Department Daily Blotter-Thursday, October 9, 2014 •0812: A caller reported a bear brought a neighbor’s trash into her yard on Union. The trash included used diapers. A HBPD officer advised, contact made with the caller and the trash owner. The trash picked up and removed from the area. Warning for Bear attractants. •1000: A report of an intrusion alarm was received for a business on Main near 1st Ave. A HBDP officer responded, a check of the premises was made, no intruder or evidence of an intrusion was found. •1028: a resident of Haines reported the use of his debit card without his knowledge or permission. A HBPD officer contacted the resident, initiated a case, and then met with bank personnel. Case remains under investigation at this time. •1217: A caller reported a small rockslide at 14 mile Haines Highway. DOT responded. •1500: A civil packet for small claims was received from out of state to be served on a Haines resident. •1812: A caller reported a vehicle was parked at a stop sign on Mission Street. HBPD officer responded, located the owner, warned for illegal parking, and the vehicle was moved. •2238: A caller reported a very large bear had broken into a metal shed on Highland and taken a trash bag away. A HBPD officer responded, but the bear had left the premises. AST and F&G notified. •Medical Calls: 0. •Canine Calls: 0. •Traffic Stops: 0.
