Police Investigate Officer Involved Shooting in the area of 1500 Dorchester Ave. At about, 1:47PM, Wednesday, August 07, 2013, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a Person Shot in the area of 1500 Dorchester Ave. Boston Police are investigating the facts and circumstances regarding an officer involved shooting in the area of 1500 Dorchester Ave. Two officers from the Drug Control Unit were struck by gunfire following an exchange of gunfire with a suspect. Officers were transported to local hospitals suffering non-life threatening injuries. The suspect has been pronounced deceased. Police are actively looking for a second person of interest described as a light skinned black male, slim build, wearing a maroon shirt with pinstripes, and braided hair. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call detectives at (617) 343-4470.
