Police Investigate Suspicious Fire In Worcester West Mercia Police are appealing for information about a fire that occurred in the St Johns area of Worcester last night. The fire was reported at a property on Woodstock Road on Tuesday 9 July. At just before midnight, emergency services were called to the scene by a member of the public. The fire was quickly brought under control by the fire service and thankfully all occupants of the property were accounted for and no injuries were suffered as a result of this incident. However, investigative work at the scene has established the fire appears to be of dubious origin and therefore police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about how the fire started. One individual – a male - has been arrested in connection with this incident and he remains in custody at the present time. Officers investigating this incident are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in Woodstock Road area of St Johns, or anyone who may have information that could be linked to this fire.
