Police Investigate a Robbery at Market on Russell Street On Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at approximately 2:14 PM Worcester police were called to the People’s Market located at 75 Russell Street for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who informed them that a male entered the store and gave the clerk a threatening note. At this time, it is unknown whether the suspect had a weapon. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. There were no reported injuries. The suspect is described as a Black male, in his twenties and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Police continue to investigate.
