Police Looking for Hit and Run Suspect Yesterday morning, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a Vista Ridge resident was walking his two dogs westbound on Skyline Drive. As he began to cross at Mountain View Boulevard, an unknown male travelling westbound on Skyline Drive in a black pickup, failed to stop at the stop sign at Mountain View Boulevard. As the driver turned northbound onto Mountain View Boulevard, the driver struck the pedestrian and one of his dogs while they were in the crosswalk. The accident caused slight injury to the man and caused one dog to become trapped under the pickup. The driver initially stopped and the pedestrian told the driver to move his pickup so he could retrieve his dog and render aid. The driver pulled forward and the hit and run victim was able to retrieve his pet. However, the driver then continued driving northbound on Mountain View Boulevard, leaving the scene without providing required information. The hit and run victim took his injured dog, Black Jack, to an emergency veterinarian but the dog did not survive. The case number is 15-0042.
