Police appeal after man stabbed - Lidcombe Police are appealing for information after a man sustained stab wounds during an altercation at Lidcombe overnight. About 11pm (Saturday 19 April 2014), a 57-year-old man attended a house on Dudley Street, where an altercation allegedly occurred between him and a 45-year-old man. The younger man sustained stab wounds to his face and neck. Police from Flemington LAC - NSW Police Force were called to the house and established a crime scene, which is being examined by forensic officers. The 45-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition, where he is currently undergoing surgery. The older man is assisting police with their inquiries.
