Police are appealing for help from the public to trace an 80-year-old man who has gone missing. The pensioner was last seen in the Gloucester Street area of Hartlepool at about 5.45pm on Wednesday. The man, who has not been named, is described as 5ft 4in tall with a full beard and is wearing a cap, jeans, black jumper, dark blue body warmer and black trainers. The police helicopter has been scrambled to help try to find him. A Cleveland Police spokesman said: “It is likely he is still in the local area but also could be in the Seaton Carew, town centre or any other area of Hartlepool. Police are requesting any assistance from the public in locating the male.” Anyone who has seen him is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
