Police are appealing for information after chickens were stolen from a South Tyneside farm. It happened between 11.45am and 2pm, on Monday, May 19, at Bow Meadows Farm, in East Boldon. Offenders gained entry to the secure chicken pen at the farm. They selected five special breed chickens before making off unseen. The chickens stolen were: two silkies; two white and grey clouds and one Buff Orpington. Enquiries into the theft are ongoing and police are keen to speak to any witnesses.
