Police are appealing for information from the public after two men were shot in Pyrmont overnight. About 10.40pm (Sunday 6 April 2014), police were called to Jones Street following reports of a shooting. At the scene, police located a man with a gunshot wound to his head and another with a gunshot wound to his back. They were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital; both are in a critical condition. Detectives from Sydney City Local Area Command, and officers attached to Operation Talon, are investigating the shooting. Operation Talon was formed in August 2013 to combat public place shootings in Sydney. Anyone with information that may help reduce gun crime in Sydney should contact Operation Talon by calling 1800 802 980 or texting 0448 990 101.
