Police are appealing for public assistance after a pizza delivery driver was carjacked at Greenacre. Shortly after 9pm on Saturday 8 June 2013, a 35-year-old male delivery driver attended the intersection of Wentworth Street and Ford Street, to deliver some pizzas. At the location he exited his car and was approached by two men who assaulted him, causing him to fall to the ground. The two men along with a third took the man’s vehicle, a yellow Nissan 200SX. Police from Flemington Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. The victim was taken to St George Hospital with lacerations on his face and head, and tenderness to his ribs. One of the men has been described as being of Asian appearance, 20 to 30 years of age, 163cm tall, tanned complexion with a thin to medium build and short black hair. He was wearing dark clothing. The other two men have only been described as wearing dark clothing. About 4am today on Sunday 9 June 2013, the stolen Nissan was located at the intersection of Blaxland Road and Ashford Avenue at Milperra. It had been completely destroyed by fire. The vehicle has been seized for forensic examination.
