Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who died in August last year. About 7:35am on Thursday 28 August 2014, officers attached to Sydney City Local Area Command were called to the northern footpath on Refinery Drive, where they located the body of the man outside a building. While the man’s death was not treated as suspicious, police have not been able to formally identify the man or locate any family or friends. As police continue their inquiries into the identity of the man, who is only known as ‘Andy’, they have released images of him, and his two distinctive tattoos. One of the tattoos, which was located on the man’s left shoulder, is depicted in the images as a demon, with the words ‘Death to the world’ and ‘Search and destroy’ across it. The second tattoo contains the word ‘Hate’, and was located across his fingers. Anyone with information on the man’s identity or who may assist with police inquiries is urged to come forward and contact Sydney City Police Station on (02) 9265 6499 or Crime Stoppers. Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
