Police are appealing for witnesses after fuel was stolen from two vehicles at Scarborough Council Nurseries. The first vehicle was targeted at around 10pm on Sunday 13 April 2014, when thieves broke into the compound, on Manor Road, and took 20 litres of diesel from the tank of tractor. At around 4.15am on Monday 28 April 2014, another 20 litres of diesel was also stolen from a tractor in the compound. Officers are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incidents to get in touch with information. In particular, if you saw anyone carrying a white 20 litre fuel container near the to the scene of the thefts, you may have information that can help the investigation. Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 - select option 2 - and ask for PC Caroline Scholes or Scarborough police.
