Police are asking a man to come forward following a suspicious incident in Swinton, near Malton. A 15-year-old girl who was walking her dog on Low Lane, Swinton, when she noticed a man behind her who seemed to match her pace when she walker faster or slowed down. The man, however, did not approach the girl or speak to her. He is described as white, around 40 to 50 years old, and with a broad build and was wearing a dark fleece jacket and dark coloured trousers, which may have been tracksuit bottoms. PC Paul Fenwick, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the Low Lane area at the time and may have seen the man to come forward and contact the police straight away. “It may be that the man was in the area for a wholly innocent reason and I ask that he gets in touch as soon as possible so that I can establish the circumstances surroundings the incident.” Anyone who can help to identify the man is asked to contact Malton police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Paul Fenwick.
