Police are criticized after death crash Police in England are criticized by the Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO) after a motorcyclist drove himself to death when he was chased suspected of including gross negligence in traffic. It was in July 2011 that police chased the man for about 20 minutes with both cars and helicopters. JO believes pursuit incompatible with the principle of proportionality, and that it would have stopped when the motorcyclist drove past a police cordon. The man died when he drove into a road barrier at Årstalänken. Then the police had already canceled the hunt by car, but still followed the motorcycle by helicopter. Ombudsman criticizes police for lack of planning, communication, management and coordination. But no single policeman accused without responsibility is considered to be the authority, ultimately its management.
